why buy a house and should i buy a house

Steven "Harry" Protopappas

Mortgage Advisor NMLS# 2543750

I didn’t just buy a home—I built financial freedom.

When I purchased my first property, an old Victorian house, I saw more than just a place to live. I converted it into four short-term rentals, with a fifth unit for a live-in maid and maintenance. That decision gave me the ability to live life on my own terms—not tied to working just to get by.

That experience changed the way I see homeownership, and it’s why I became a mortgage lender. Too often, people think of buying a home as just another expense, when in reality, it can be a path to opportunity, stability, and financial freedom—if done right.

Now, I help others take a new view on homeownership. Whether you're buying your first home, refinancing, or investing, I provide the guidance, clarity, and real solutions to help you build a future that works for you.

Let’s rethink what’s possible. I’m here to help.
